Opportunities for our pupils to develop their talents and interests are of exceptional quality. We find the talent in everyone!

Swillington Primary School provides rich experiences in a coherently planned way, in the curriculum and through extra-curricular activities.

Enrichment Afternoon 1.30-3.00pm

All pupils are able to choose the activity that they want to explore further. Pupils are able to change their enrichment activity each half term.

Over one part of an afternoon a week, we offer a range of enrichment activities:

  • Exploring Culture
  • British Sign Language
  • First Aid
  • Sporting skills
  • Clay modelling
  • Painting
  • Performing arts
  • Music
  • Habitat building
  • Sewing
  • Cooking

After School Clubs

We have a wide range of after-school clubs. The clubs will start after school and finish at 4.15pm.

We are fundraising for new lunchtime play equipment, so we will be charging £1 per week for every child attending a club. We also offer funded spaces.

Please contact the office if you would like your child to join any of the after-school clubs.

  • Digital Leaders-Responsible for ensuring our computing equipment is ready for the day.
  • School Office Leaders-Responsible for answering the main office phone and taking messages over lunch time.
  • Music Leaders-Responsible for setting up steel pans and our music sessions.
  • Play Leaders- Responsible for supporting positive play at lunch times.

Pupils learn how to make a 3 course meal at our linked High School.
