Our school will operate a one way pedestrian system around the school grounds. To minimise the amount of adults/large groups around our school site, we kindly ask that pupils will arrive to school at the following times, depending on the initial of their surname-
A-H to arrive from 8.40 Leave from 3.15
I-Z to arrive from 8.50 Leave from 3.15
If your child/children are in Foundation 1 or 2, you will be able to walk around school for drop off and collection. Please ensure you are following the one way system during these times. We kindly ask that parents do not enter the building.
Parents who wish their child to attend Nursery (F1) at our school can choose from two and a half days at the beginning or end of the week.
Time spent on teaching each day, excluding registration periods, assemblies and break times, is 4 hours 15 minutes in Key Stage 1 and 4 hours 40 minutes in Key Stage 2. This is in line with statutory requirements.
Children should arrive in the playground no earlier than 5 or 10 minutes before the bell is rung as there is no supervision before this time.
Children are electronically registered by their teacher promptly when they enter the classroom. It is important that teachers settle their classes quickly, without interruption at the beginning of the day. Any urgent matter which needs to be brought to the attention of the teacher should be reported to the school office. Otherwise an appointment may be made to see the teacher after school.
If a child arrives late s/he should go, or be taken, to the Office so that they can ensure the child is registered.
